A man was found dead from bullet wounds outside a trailer in Logan County Tuesday, authorities are investigating. The scene is near 2 Creeks Road and Midwest Boulevard. Deputies with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office found the suspect walking down a dirt road and arrested him. A neighbor called for help after hearing gunfire. “When I heard the gunshot, I stayed inside for safety reasons. I waited a moment and I heard someone screaming I’m going to kill you,” said neighbor Charles Borges. Borges said he heard a single gunshot. “It definitely sounded like a larger caliber firearm,” said Borges. Borges went to check on his neighbors and then called 911. “For me, it was more concern. Bullets don’t tend to stop unless they stop in something or someone,” said Borges. Borges said a male and female appeared to be okay. “They didn’t want me to call anybody. I said, 'well I’ve already contacted the sheriff,'” said Borges. Minutes later a swarm of deputies and OSBI crime scene technicians arrived, and found a deceased male face down in the grass, and a shotgun found discarded nearby. “Once on scene we did find a deceased male,” said Logan County Sheriff Damon Devereaux. Devereaux said the suspected gunman was found walking along a dirt road and taken into custody. “We’re pretty confident due to some witnesses and stuff like that that we got the right guy,” said Devereaux. Investigators said the suspect and victim were hanging out at a friend’s trailer, they also said the two men were known to dabble in drugs.
