They Were Compelled To Do So

  - 6:59

“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary.” ― H.L. Mencken

I regularly read Scientific American (SA) in college in '70s, then lost track of it until reading it again around early 2000s. Someone must have purchased SA, or at least its editorial control. In '70s SA articles followed same format as today's articles in Nature. Today, SA's articles are no longer open to review of any scientific discoveries as long as they use scientific rigor as they allowed in the past. SA became globalist corporatist propaganda mouthpiece, sold it's prestige for sheckles. Same happened to Popular Science and Popular Mechanics (Popular Mechanics used to speculate on futuristic devices which might become used by We the People, now they display DARPA advances and glorify new weapons). In early 2000s, Science was deliberately transformed into $cience. A tool to propagandize us "masses."
