Up to this point the summer in Germany feels like a normal German summer, like I've known the summer for over 4 decades.

WaPo reminds me of Ellsworth Toohey and his column One Small Voice (if memory serves). Stirring up the masses for some sort of gain although I never did fully understand the motive.
