MYLENE FARMER Je T'aime Melancolie with Bi-Lingual Paroles & Words 5.10

  - 5:11

Mylene in concert in 2006, performing "Je T'aime Melancolie", translated in English and subtitled bi-lingually for your pleasure. On the English side of the subtitles contained in this performance, my translation of Mylene's words is more literal, whereas the translation provided by Megrez- further down the grid, has more accurate jargon. Mylene's very last line, when she sings "Et Toc", is inaccurate here because it was necessary to translate that line with the spirit of the sentiment instead. That expression "Et Toc", is French slang for "So there!", or "Screw you!", or even the more vulgar "F**K O*F"...it's an expression of defiance and reaffirmation against criticism. Megrez was more precise than my translation on that line- if you wish to check out his very eloquent translation, it's down below, in the other video with this song title. What i like about my take, is that "la mauvaise herbe de nuit" sounds nice translated literally as English slang- cause it suggests Mylene's nuance that plants in fact grow faster at night with the moonshine.....which i checked and, lo and behold, they do...lol Hope you enjoyed this live video. Thank you for taking the time- have a wonderful day and Cheers+T'I's.
